Obituary
With grief-stricken heart we would like to inform you of the passing away of the Secretary General of AIPA, Honorable Ambassador Dato’ Md.Yusoff bin Md.Zain on Saturday, September 19, 2009 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He fell ill on the very last day of the 30th AIPA General Assembly in Pattaya City, Thailand.
After a brief hospitalization in Pattaya and Kuala Lumpur, the late Dato’ Md.Yusoff bin Md.Zain had managed to return to Jakarta and resume office duties despite his weakening health condition. With expectation for a better recovery process he and family left Jakarta for Kuala Lumpur on September 13th 2009 to follow up medical treatment. To us, at the Secretariat that day was never expected to be the parting day until we received the sad news from his wife, Datin Hamidah Johari.
He had been a hard-working Secretary General and example of a good administrator, a considerate character to carefully weigh on decisions that would affect the organization and its activities. He had successfully laid a foundation for a more focus and creative AIPA Secretariat. He had sought some efforts to enhance the AIPA Parliament Members’ commitment towards a stronger and productive AIPA.
All the Staffs at the AIPA Secretariat pray for a peace and consolation of the bereaved family, especially for Dato’ Md.Yusoff’s wife and daughters. May the Almighty God bless the family with courage and strength.
